In Fortnite: Battle Royale on May 9th at 3:00 AM a live event took place in the Party Royale mode. This event will be repeated for players who could not participate in the evening at 8 PM. We will reveal what to expect there.
What kind of live event is this? In the new mode “Party Royale”, which was introduced to the game at the end of April, there will be a big party twice on May 9th. The first one already took place at 3:00 AM and the repeat of it will be broadcasted at 8:00 PM. The event lasts for one hour each time.
In this hour, the 3 artists Dillon Francis, Steve Aoki, and deadmau5 will showcase their musical works while you can spam emotes with your character and celebrate a huge party in Fortnite.
In addition, there is a reward, for which you do not need to attend the concert, but just need to log in on time.
A huge live concert with obstacles
What happens at the Party Royale? At this in-game party, you can look forward to an hour of music while you can watch your DJ rock out.
Meanwhile, you will be on the party map, where you can cause all sorts of mischief, but cannot harm other players.
How did the first event go? At the premiere in the morning, many players were live, but not everyone had a smooth party experience. Many users complained on Twitter that they had no sound or that it kept cutting out.
Apparently, some emotes were to blame when used too close to the respective player characters.
Additionally, there was criticism about the artists. Steve Aoki’s performance was mostly praised, while the other two DJs received mixed reactions.
Also, Kirby, the cuddly pink character who had caused a stir in the trailer for Party Royale, was not present at the event.
The Twitter user Merl summarizes his experience from the party with a 7/10. This event did not measure up to the great and epic live concert by Travis Scott.
