In Fortnite Season 5 Chapter 2 has started, and we have received some new locations on the map. Which 5 landing spots are now the best in Season 5? MeinMMO shows you which places are particularly worthwhile and where you can find plenty of loot.
The start of Season 5 in Fortnite: Battle Royale brought several new locations to the map after a big battle against Galactus took place. The well-known Zero Point has also reappeared.
Now that there are new locations and some places from the first map have returned, players have several options to explore the map.
In this overview, we will show you landing spots that can be particularly worthwhile for you. Whether it’s because you find a lot of loot there or special features await you there. We have included some of the old, but also new locations in the list.
Landing Spot 1: Stealthy Stronghold
What makes this place so special? Stealthy Stronghold is one of the new locations introduced with Season 5. There is now a whole jungle there that you can explore.
As you know jungles, there are many trees that offer some hiding spots in the game. If you like to fish, you will find several fishing spots there. This way, you can quickly fill your collection. Although there are only about 16 chests, together with the fishing spots, you can gather quite a lot of loot.
Landing Spot 2: Slurpy Swamp
What makes this place so special? Slurpy Swamp has a lot to offer and is particularly suitable at the beginning of a match, as you find many options to recharge your shield. There are shield mushrooms around Slurpy Swamp, slurp barrels, slurp tanks, and trucks. You can even bathe in the swamp to recharge your shield.
A player even found a trick to recharge his shield even faster.
Overall, you will find about 18 chests in Slurpy Swamp. Additionally, there is a restart bus right in the middle of the location in case you need to bring back your teammates. Since the place is not new, players won’t have to search for loot hiding spots.
Landing Spot 3: Lazy Lake
What makes this place so special? Now let’s come to a location that most of you will already know well and therefore won’t have to spend long searching for the coveted loot. Lazy Lake is not a new location in Season 5, but it now offers the most chests on the map. Here in this town, you will find a total of 41 chests.
Additionally, Lazy Lake is more central on the map, which pays off when the storm zone is getting closer and you don’t want to take damage. If you need to bring back your teammates, you will also find a restart bus here.
Landing Spot 4: Zero Point / Crystal Desert
What makes this place so special? The Crystal Desert has been newly added with the start of Season 5. It is located right in the middle of the map and offers several features and options that are not commonly found on the map.
There are a few loot options scattered throughout the desert, but they are more suitable for solo or duo matches. What makes the Crystal Desert so special are the crystals with which you can teleport and the sand that you can sink into. This offers a lot of movement and hiding options.
Important: The ability to burrow through the sand has been disabled indefinitely. Fortnite Status has indicated that this feature will return once the issue is resolved.
Landing Spot 5: Catty Corner
What makes this place so special? Catty Corner is also a location that has been known for several seasons. However, in Season 5, it is one of the places where you can find the most chests. A total of 31 chests are distributed here. Additionally, you can gather many instant items through boxes.
If you want to collect materials, you will find a lot here. Especially through the scrap, there is a lot of metal with which you can build your defenses. If you are looking for movement options, you can grab a vehicle and refuel at the gas station that is located nearby.
The “new” map of Fortnite in Season 5 offers several landing spots where you can start your rounds. Depending on how you like to play, the landing spot can vary each time. Here, however, we have selected some spots that can be worthwhile due to their high amount of loot or special features.
Is your landing spot featured here, or do you have another place you always rely on? Please let us know in the comments which is your favorite landing spot in Season 5!
