These landing spots should be your go-to at the start of the game
Where are the landing points? Here on the new map of Chapter 3 you can already see our selected favorites. What exactly is so good about them in detail and what you should still pay attention to, you’ll find out in the following paragraphs.
Red Bridge near Shifty Shafts
Where is the location? The location is situated southwest of Shifty Shafts. You can’t miss the red steel bridge because of its bright color.
What’s so great about it? The red bridge is covered in many spider webs. Through these, you can quickly flee during an unexpected attack. Thanks to their elasticity, you can use the nets like a trampoline. Additionally, at least one Spider-Man Web Shooter is attached to the steel beams.
Below the bridge, there are shield barrels and a few chests. Once you’re equipped, you can quickly swing over to Shifty. There, you’ll find more loot and, above all, opponents who are not as well-equipped as you.
What should you still keep in mind? Enemies may come from Shifty to overwhelm you, so keep your eyes open. The height of the bridge is also a danger, as you could meet your demise with an inattentive jump.
Logjam Lumberyard
Where is the location? The location is on the northern side of the map, surrounded by many trees and logs. You can’t overlook the lake, which is connected to the lumber mill by a dock.
What’s so great about it? This POI is perfect for gaining an advantage while hidden. You can hide behind logs and the warehouses while looting undetected. Or you can pick up a fishing rod and fish for a round.
Players with ongoing material shortages should also stop by. With all the logs available, you can quickly gather the maximum capacity of wood.
What should you still keep in mind? Crafty enemies may hide like you and wait for an ambush, so stay alert.
Enemies might decide to drop a massive log on your head from the environment. Stay away from mammoth trees; they could mean your end.
The Daily Bugle
Where is the location? The location is situated northeast on the map in an extinct volcano. The water around the building resembles a moat, and the entire area is covered with spider webs.
What’s so great about it? Filled with many trampoline nets, Daily Bugle has countless web shooters. This way, you can gear up all your teammates.
The press building and the surrounding blocks contain many chests and can also reward you with a harpoon gun in case of luck. With this, you can catch some fish in the surrounding lake.
The zip lines running through provide more mobility and quickly transport you to one of your downed teammates.
What should you still keep in mind? This POI is situated in a dead volcano. You are surrounded by high mountain edges. Enemies usually hide behind these, waiting to eliminate you. So do not stay too long in open terrain.
Since this is a popular spot, you may face some enemies. Land as quickly as possible and try to gain an advantage through weapons.
Llama Hut
Where is the location? The hut is located south of Logjam on the opposite side of the lake.
What’s so great about it? This unassuming spot is suitable for solo or duo players. Thanks to the remote location, you don’t have to deal with enemies and can discuss strategies with teammates in peace. However, approach stealthily, as a loot llama awaits you every time in the stable.
Additionally, at Sgt. Llama, you can get a mythic sniper, which is very useful in building fights. If you’ve cleared the surrounding area of wood, you can race off with the available quads. If you recruit the sergeant, he can assist you in battle.
What should you still keep in mind? The only drawback is indeed the loot scarcity. Besides the llama and the sniper from the sergeant, there are hardly any weapons available for defense.
Also, make sure the llama does not escape through the surrounding river. You can stun it with the quads while the rest attack the llama with the sniper or pickaxe.
Condo Canyon
Where is the location? It is located south on the new map in the new desert area.
What’s so great about it? With the large hotel and adjacent shopping area, you will have plenty of loot. The hotel has enough rooms for you to camp comfortably. However, if you’re in the mood for a quick departure, grab a car, fuel it up at the nearby gas station, and leave.
The surrounding road offers plenty of cars for perfect escape opportunities in case enemies wander there. The location, however, is on the edge of the map, making it less attractive to players.
What should you still keep in mind? Due to the sparse landscape, you have little opportunity to hide in open areas. Few bushes or trees provide cover, so you should either be on a vehicle or using web shooters.
You will also find only a few materials available to harvest. Make sure to gather a sufficient supply before you leave.
