The qualification for the Fortnite World Cup is over, and even Tfue’s partner, Cloakzy, did not make it. He blamed stream snipers for that.
This is Cloakzy: Together with Tfue, Dennis “Cloakzy” Lepore forms one of the best duos in Fortnite. However, this duo did not make it to the World Cup and failed in the qualifiers.
The pro spoke about his elimination in a podcast, blaming stream snipers among other things. They often took important points away from the pros towards the end.
This is how Cloakzy explains the elimination
What does the pro say? Cloakzy states that stream snipers definitely share some responsibility for the elimination. Especially towards the end of a round, when players realize that they cannot qualify, they become increasingly aggressive towards other players.
“Epic removed the anonymous mode. Turner [Tfue] reaches 300,000 people. We are always first with a lead of 10-15 points each week. Then towards the end, when people know they won’t qualify, we are repeatedly massively attacked by other players. Often, there’s nothing we can blame ourselves for, but in 7 out of 9 weeks in the qualification matches, we were less than five points away from qualifying.”

What does the pro mean by that? When competitors realize towards the end of the qualifiers that they have too few points, they want to ruin it for other players. They can easily follow the duo’s location in Tfue’s stream and see if they might have weaknesses. Because Tfue is so well-known, many players actively hunt him.
In another statement, he says:
“You have these people who are not qualifying, and they are in their eighth or ninth game. The round is only 20-30 minutes left and they have 16, 18 points. They will not qualify and will do everything in their power to prevent others from qualifying.”

Is this a known problem? Cloakzy is not the first player to complain about this. Already Ninja complained about stream snipers at the beginning of the qualification.
Many players simply want to show that they are good and can even eliminate the most famous players. They abandon everything and rush straight at the streamer. In their stream, they easily see where he is currently located.
Why didn’t Tfue just turn off the stream? Cloakzy explained that Tfue offered to turn off the stream. However, Cloakzy did not want that, as he believes Tfue plays better with the stream on.
Is there any truth to the pro’s accusations? It is quite possible that the duo did not qualify because of stream snipers. However, it cannot be denied that Tfue also qualified in solo and that there was a stream running there as well.
Other duos are also struggling with stream snipers, though most do not have the same reach as Tfue. Nevertheless, they show that it is possible even with these problems.
Recently, Tfue explained which 2 weapons should be removed from Fortnite:
