In Fortnite there are allegations against the clan FaZe. The Fortnite player and Twitch streamer Tfue accuses them of hiring an 11-year-old player and lying about his age. Because the magic number is 13.
This is the allegation: In the filing of Twitch streamer Turner “Tfue” Tenney against his clan FaZe to the “Labor Commissioner” in California, there is a passage where Tfue accuses FaZe of having signed an 11-year-old and lying about the minor’s age.
Furthermore, they allegedly pressured the minor and the family to lie as well. This is widely known.
California labor law prohibits talent agencies from accepting applications for minors under 18 years of age. According to Tfue’s lawyers, the eSports organization FaZe would be such a talent agency.
Who is involved? It concerns the player FaZe H1ghSky1.
On March 22, 2019, FaZe announced that they signed the player with the statement “Meet the youngest member of the FaZe Clan.”
On his own Twitter page, the boy presents himself as “13 years old”.
Why is age important? The age of “13 years” is important for two reasons:
- On the one hand, you must be 13 to become active on Twitch – the young man already has 400,000 followers there, and the channel would then be at risk
- On the other hand, Fortnite players must be 13 years old to participate in the Fortnite World Cup
However, it is currently unknown whether H1ghSky1 actually participates in the Fortnite World Championship and whether Epic verified his age.
Even the current Fortnite star Mongraal was active at 13 years old.
How old is the boy? Tfue’s accusation that the boy is 11 is now confirmed through research by the online site Upcomer .
The site “Upcomer” rummaged through old social media pictures of the player’s family, which are still available in the cache, and found birthday pictures from his 5th birthday. The pictures date back to April 2012 and were posted by his mother, who is Romanian.
Additionally, the player has appeared in other social media posts.
Then the boy would now be 12.
