Fortnite (PC, PS4, iOS & Xbox One) hidden with Patch 4.2 a bunch of new content that is not officially in the game yet. Dataminers claim to have found hints in the code about new dance Emotes as well as a competitive game mode.
Whenever a new patch is released in Fortnite, dataminers immediately dive into the game code. Because with the patch files, there are always contents implemented that will be unlocked later. Therefore, datamining is a good method to predict upcoming changes.
This time, the dataminers have found hints of cool new emotes and a competitive game mode in the data of patch 4.2.

What is the competitive mode in Fortnite all about?
During further exploration of the data of the new version, the dataminers found even more new content. A directory named “Comp” suggests a new competitive mode to some players.
What could that be? This could refer, among other things, to an eSports-tailored version of Fortnite. After all, pro gamers have been waiting for this for a long time. Or the mode will feature a clear ranking system that places you in ranks like Gold, Silver, or Bronze. At the moment, however, this is still speculation – so it should be taken with caution.
Will Ninja’s dream come true? So far, this mode seems to be planned only for solo players. This would also be the wish of Fortnite pro Ninja for eSports formats.

Also interesting: There are hints of a shotgun mode as well as team and duo versions of the “Pure Gold” game mode. In it, only legendary items drop.
