“Tame the Wild” is a challenge from Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 6. This challenge is part of the Week 4 challenges and grants XP for your Battle Pass.
What kind of task is this? This task is one of the “Week 4” challenges in Fortnite Season 6. You need to tame wild animals on one occasion. Simply put, you need to tame a wild boar, a wolf, or a dino somewhere on the island. There are different ways to approach this, depending on what devices you have on hand. The first step is, of course, to find animals that can be tamed.
Where can you find wild animals?
- Dark blue markings indicate wolves
- Orange markings indicate wild boars
Frogs and chickens cannot be tamed, so it doesn’t make sense to focus on these animals. Note that taming velociraptors is also possible, although their spawns are much more random than other animal species. The wild boar spawn in the southern pen of Colossal Crops is highly recommended for completing the task quickly.
How to tame animals?
What do you need to do? There are various techniques to tame wild animals. The easiest way is to wear a hunter cloak, which is made from a piece of meat and animal bones. Once you have this item in your possession, you just need to put on the cloak and approach the wild animals carefully to tame them.
You can also lure them with food. Wolves love fresh meat: If you throw something near them, you can easily tame them once they are attracted to it.
Wild boars love fruits, vegetables, and mushrooms. You can gather these foods from gardener boxes or in the wild and then throw them near the wild boars. Just like wolves, they will become tame.
