On Thursday, Fortnite surprised players with a new update. A new emote was also released – and it’s dividing the players.
This is what the update brought: The small update mainly brought bug fixes to the game. Among them were the fixed ziplines, which had been removed due to exploits. Additionally, there were some new contents for “Save the World”.
However, the update also includes some cosmetics that should be available in the game soon. Among other things, there are new varieties of the football skins, presumably for the Super Bowl.
And then there’s the “Freemix” emote – which is generating quite mixed reactions.
Freemix Emote: Fantastic or terrible?
This is the Freemix emote: The new Freemix emote may not be the craziest of all Fortnite dances, but the connection of some skins with the dance is quite funny.
Many highlight the rather unusual music in the background. YouTuber Spook uploaded a 1-hour mix of the emote – you should make your own impression:
Fans divided: The reactions to the dance are mixed. While some fans directly condemn the emote, others find the quirky dance quite amusing.
One of the comments under the video reads: “Man, this is even more uncomfortable than the Poki emote.” The streamer Pokimane recently received an emote that was similarly controversial. Another user resorts to irony: “Um… this emote is so… beautiful.”
Furthermore, many ask: “Why does it sound like Alvin and the Chipmunks?”
On the other hand, there are players who are celebrating the emote: “At first the music surprised me, but now I love it,” one person says. Another user mentions: “I will definitely get this emote.”
