Fortnite: Battle Royale (PC, PS4, iOS & Xbox One) has expanded Update 4.3 once again. It includes nerfs for buildings and the popular loot llamas. They are now much less generously stocked!
What is included in Update 4.3? When Update 4.3 was released on June 5, it only contained the new bounce pads and two heroes for the PvE mode. On Wednesday, a few more features were added. Among them was a huge nerf for shotguns, the temporary end of jetpacks, and a gigantic buff for the previously quite weak traps.
But that’s not all: There are significant adjustments to buildings and the loot llamas.
Llamas are getting slimmer
Loot Llama piñatas are one of the highlights in the PvE mode, and in Battle Royale, they delight players with their wonderfully silly cardboard creatures. Because whoever finds such a llama in the wild can blow it up and rejoice over gigantic amounts of loot.
Unfortunately, the llamas were simply too good, because Epic has given them a weight loss treatment. They now contain no more than 500 units of each building resource, but only 200! Not even half! Additionally, no explosive ammo comes out of the llamas anymore. This is intended to curb the spam of rockets and grenades in the endgame.
Collapsing Buildings – The building nerf!
Buildings and fortresses dominate especially the late game in Fortnite. Many buildings are difficult to crack. Therefore, the developers adjusted the values a bit and nerfed the buildings overall.
The following adjustments have been made:
- If you find building resources in the game world, they contain 33 percent less material, meaning you won’t get large material supplies so quickly
- The damage fall-off of rifles, submachine guns, pistols, and light machine guns has been removed! This means that you can shoot at buildings from a distance with no problem!
- The previously somewhat neglected minigun has been buffed: It is 10 percent more accurate, its ammo spawns much more often, and it now deals 30 damage instead of 25 per hit specifically against buildings.
- C4 bombs now have a larger radius, which has been expanded from 400 to 600
- Light ammo now contains 18 shots instead of 12, but you will find 50 percent less explosive ammo
What do these changes mean? All of this means that you can now destroy buildings more with regular ammo or C4 rather than relying on the easily usable rockets and grenades. All these adjustments will certainly change again when Epic has gathered enough data and feedback. So play and test vigorously!
