In Fortnite: Battle Royale, there were some spontaneous changes, and Epic brought back 2 favorites, as they call them, from the vault. What changes and weapons have been added to the game, and how are players reacting to it now?
This is what’s happening in Fortnite: The start of Season 6 introduced some new weapons, and now you can even craft primitive weapons. But now, Epic has spontaneously made additional changes and even brought back some weapons from the vault.
It’s not the first time that Fortnite spontaneously adds some changes without a proper update taking place. Just recently, Epic made some buffs for weapons that made bows very powerful and caused players to fear them directly.
Which 2 “favorites” are back?
Which weapons are back in the game? On May 3, Fortnite Status announced on Twitter that 4 changes have been made in the game (via Twitter). This took place in a hotfix, which players didn’t notice directly in the game. In the announcement, Epic revealed that they have brought back 2 favorites, as they call them, into the game. These weapons are:
- The Infantry Rifle
- The Tactical Shotgun
Both weapons can now be found on the island in all rarities. You will be able to find them in chests or on the ground, as they cannot be crafted.
“Good aim will be rewarded again”
This is how players react to the return of the two weapons: In an official reddit thread, the return of the weapons was also announced. Opinions on the return are largely positive (via reddit). Some are happy because good aim will be rewarded again with the Infantry. They comment:
- “I know you will never see this Epic, but thank you for bringing these items back from the vault.”
- “It’s very powerful [the Infantry Rifle] and there’s hardly any RNG, so it’s really your pure aim that makes it a good weapon.”
- “Okay, this is just … great! Tactical is back and so is the Infantry.”
- “Competitive players have long asked for the return of the Infantry because it rewards good aim.”
However, not all players seem to be satisfied with the return of these two weapons. Under the announcement on Twitter, players are asking about the Heavy Sniper: “You forgot these weapons!” In Season 2 Chapter 2 the Heavy Sniper was also one of your favorite weapons before it was put in the vault.
Epic brings further changes to the game
What other changes has Fortnite made? In the announcement tweet, Fortnite Status revealed further changes made to the game. This is now different:
- Possibility of spawning crafting materials has been doubled again
- Mechanic parts when farming cars have been increased by 50%
- Improved loot chances at fishing spots, supply drops, and bunker chests
