In Fortnite: Battle Royale (PC, PS4, iOS & Xbox One) there is a nuisance of Swatting. This, however, does not stop a particularly cool streamer from winning.
In Fortnite: Battle Royale and other online games, there are particularly nasty people who report streamers they dislike to the police. They call 911 and report a hostage situation or a similarly dangerous situation at their victim’s address.
If the call is taken seriously, it can happen that the police send a special unit (SWAT), who may storm the house in the worst case and arrest the streamer live on webcam or even shoot him.
This so-called swatting unfortunately happens again and again, and a certain streamer experiences it almost regularly. However, he copes with it in his own unique way.
Gaming, Calming the Police, and Then Winning
The player and streamer Dr. Lupo has been haunted by a troll for a while, who has sent the police after him three times. But instead of giving in, Dr. Lupo dominates with almost legendary calmness and coolness.
During a stream, the player suddenly stood up and was not present for about 2 minutes. Then he returned, continued, and even won the ongoing match with ease! Only then did he address his viewers and explained the reason for his sudden departure.
He was swatted during that time and had the police at his door. However, he was able to resolve the situation quickly.
Streamer Not Intimidated by Swatting Troll
Dr. Lupo has gained extensive experience with swatting, as the latest incident was his third time! In the past, he has also had tactical units sent after him and once he managed to continue rocking the match after returning to the stream.
He does not want to be intimidated by swatting trolls and spoil his enjoyment of streaming. Therefore, he remains calm and relaxed and dismisses the danger he theoretically faces every time heavily armed law enforcement officers show up at his door.
Yet despite his calmness, Dr. Lupo strongly condemns swatting.
We also want to emphasize: Swatting is not a harmless prank, but a crime that can have serious consequences. In a swatting incident involving CS:GO, an innocent person was shot by police. The caller faces imprisonment.
Not all swatting victims are as calm as Dr. Lupo. An unexpectedly successful 12-year-old Fortnite streamer was swatted and did not handle the situation well.
