The streamer and star of Fortnite, Tyler “Ninja” Blevins, talked about his goals in a podcast. He would prefer to be on a level like David Beckham or Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. Because no one makes as many insulting videos about him as they do. Ninja often feels unjustly portrayed negatively.
In what context does Ninja say this? The Fortnite streamer gave a 90-minute interview in a podcast on YouTube and talked about many topics.
One of the topics was how many people speak negatively about him without knowing him. Ninja believes that people do not do this with some big, iconic stars.
Too many negative YouTube videos about Ninja circulating
However, there are many negative videos about him, many clips where Ninja allegedly said or did something wrong, which is why other people have a totally false image of him.
As Ninja explains, he is a live streamer and always on air. He sometimes says things he regrets seconds later, but these short lapses are then picked up and viewed in isolation.
This is what Ninja says:
It’s so stupid, I can’t do anything about it. There are so many videos on YouTube about me – I can’t keep up with all of them. They only take small snippets.

“All our friends say you are an asshole”
Ninja tells a story about how little kids came to him two years ago asking for candy on Halloween. Since he had no more, he offered the kids signed fan merchandise.
The kids were thrilled and could hardly believe it. They said, “Man, this is incredible. All our friends say you are such an asshole. You are not mean at all.”
The incident seems to have stuck in Ninja’s memory: Why do kids he has never met have such a negative image of him? For him, it is clear: These videos are to blame.
The video with the segment starts at 30:31.
I am trying to reach the level of “The Rock”
Ninja says:
Who knows what videos they have seen? How many people think out there, I am the biggest asshole? No one makes such videos about David Beckham! No one makes a video “Fuck David Beckham and that’s why he is an asshole” […] that just doesn’t happen. I want to reach that level.
As another example of someone who is “untouchable,” Fortnite star Ninja mentions actor and wrestler Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. He could shit on the street and people would still applaud.
The Rock is “untouchable” and in the best sense.
