The Fortnite pro Tyler “Ninja” Blevins finds the skin selection currently too boring. He wishes for more variety. He explains how Epic Games could improve the selection.
What happened? The Fortnite pro criticized Epic Games for their uncreative skin selection. In a live stream on Mixer, Ninja talked with a friend about the current skin selection in Fortnite. For a few months now, Ninja has been streaming exclusively on Mixer and no longer on Twitch.
Ninja finds the skin selection not creative enough
What is Ninja’s opinion on the skins? The Fortnite pro believes that the skins are no longer creative enough. Epic would only reuse many skin models and make slight changes.
He said in the stream: “Honestly, bro. I would really like to see new skins soon. I don’t want to insult the artists; they invest hundreds of hours into these skins. But I would just like to see new skins.”
Ninja believes he would like to see new concepts instead of just remakes of existing outfits. He feels that Epic reuses many of the old skins with a different color and cosmetics.

What does Ninja mean by skin remakes? Epic has used 8 different skin models since the beginning of Fortnite to create new skins. These skins are in their original form the default skins. For the female skins, these are:
- Ramirez
- Banshee
- Wildcat
- Headhunter
The male skins are:
- Spitfire
- Renegade
- Hawk
- Jonesy
However, another model has been added that is used frequently now. This model is the Rio skin. Here’s how it looks:
Epic Games creates many remakes
What are those remakes? The models mentioned above are used to create “new” outfits. For example, a Ramirez can become a Ghoul Trooper by painting the same character green and as a zombie. Here is how it looks:
The Ghoul Trooper is also one of the rarest skins as it was last available in November 2017.
Another example would be Wildcat. She was converted into a warrior from the Middle Ages and a St. Patrick’s figure. Here’s how it looks:
