The update could bring new content and possibly make map changes.
Before players can embark on an adventure, the Fortnite servers will first be taken down.
Fortnite servers will be taken down – when and for how long?
Downtime starts in the morning: Downtime will begin at 8:00 AM German time. At 7:30 AM, you may join one last match. After that, the servers will be unreachable and Fortnite will be down.
How long will the maintenance take? Based on experiences from the past weeks and months, the work should be completed by noon at the latest.
However, technical issues or other delays may extend the maintenance work. If this is the case, you will be informed here.
When will the patch notes come? It is likely that there will again be no patch notes for the Battle Royale mode from Epic Games.

What’s new in the Battle Royale mode? The announcement from Fortnite Status states that update 12.50 comes from “The Agency”. This could indicate map changes in that location. These things could still come:

- New challenges
- New gameplay options

What does the update bring for the “Save the World” mode? Unfortunately, it’s still unclear what new features the update will bring for the Save the World mode. However, a questline may return and replace the blockbuster questline.
After the update, keep an eye out for “The Agency” on the Fortnite map, as you can influence the story of Season 2 if you choose Team Ghost or Shadow. Your choice could bring changes to the map. Since Fortnite Status has given a hint about this, it’s even more likely that something will happen there.
