The new update 6.02 brings new content to Fortnite on Wednesday, October 10. The servers of Fortnite: Battle Royale will be offline on all platforms (PC/Mac, Xbox One, PS4, Switch, iOS, Android). When are the servers down and when will Fortnite be playable again?
New weapon has already been announced: As players could gather from the in-game news, today’s update 6.02 will bring the new Quad Rocket Launcher. Under certain conditions, this beast could potentially disrupt the meta in Fortnite: Battle Royale.
Fortnite servers go offline – When will they be back online?
When does the server downtime start? After the servers were shut down an hour earlier last week, everything will proceed as usual this week. The player search will be disabled at around 9:30 AM German time. The Fortnite servers will subsequently go offline at 10:00 AM.
When will the Fortnite servers be back online? Since this is just a minor update, you should be able to jump back in pretty quickly. Fortnite should be available again by noon at the latest.
The patch notes for update 6.02 will be provided by Epic at the start of the maintenance; as always, you will find them shortly afterwards on MeinMMO.

This is what update 6.02 brings to Fortnite: Battle Royale: As already announced in-game, you can expect a new weapon in the Battle Royale mode after the patch, designed to cause chaos among your enemies and could quickly pulverize enemy structures.
Is the Skull Trooper coming back soon? A seemingly innocuous tweet from Epic in the early hours could also bring back one of the most sought-after skins in Fortnite: Battle Royale – the Skull Trooper:
The tweet depicts a skull and a pickaxe, which could be a hint towards the Skull Trooper and – as players hope – the Scythe Pickaxe. When exactly the skin and pickaxe will appear in the shop is still unclear, but it should be soon. Speaking of Halloween: Some skins have already been discovered!
This is what update 6.02 brings for the Save the World mode: Aside from a simple patch announcement, Epic hasn’t revealed any further details for the PvE players. The really big content updates are likely to arrive with versions 6.1 and 6.2 (including Fortnitemares, the Halloween event).
What do you think about the update? Are you excited about the new rocket launcher?
