According to Osirion, the X account of a Fortnite stats page, Epic Games has made a mistake with the version numbers of the update. While the actual version is now at 36.20, the changelist of a much older version was used. Therefore, a downtime between 12 and 24 hours is possible. When does the server downtime in Fortnite start? The servers will be shut down on July 15, 2025, at 10:00 AM. A short while before (about half an hour), matchmaking will be disabled (via x.com).
When can I play Fortnite again? That depends on the size of the update and the duration of the downtime. This is a large update, so expect 1 to 2 hours.
When will patch notes be released? Epic Games is now only sporadically releasing patch notes for updates and usually only after downtime. As soon as they are available, you can read them with us.
