The new content update for Fortnite will be released today, June 19th. Fortnite will be offline for maintenance on all platforms (PC / Mac, Xbox One, PS4, Switch, iOS) – the servers will not respond. What’s in Content Patch 4.4 and when will the servers be back online?
Updates and new content have become weekly rituals for Fortnite players. This week, new features are coming to Fortnite’s Save the World mode as well as the Battle Royale part of Fortnite.
Fortnite servers go offline – When will they be back online?
When does server downtime start? Around 09:30 AM German time, player matchmaking will be disabled. At 10:00 AM, the Fortnite servers will be shut down.
When will the server downtime end? Based on experiences from the past few weeks, Fortnite should be back online by 12:00 PM. However, the actual times may vary. Epic has also frequently encountered issues that have unintentionally extended downtime.

Update 12:05: The maintenance seems to be taking longer today. Even shortly after 12 PM, there is still no word from Epic Games on when the Fortnite servers will be back online. The patch notes for update 4.4 are now available.
Update 12:15: The servers are now back online.
What’s in the update for Fortnite today?
What’s included in the update for Fortnite: Battle Royale: Battle Royale players can look forward to the new stink bomb. This will release a cloud of deadly gas that will continuously damage enemies. There will likely also be bug fixes and general improvements.
What’s included in the update for Save the World players: The Save the World faction can look forward to a new adventurer – the ninja with a cape! Join the blockbuster event to unlock new heroes.
As for upcoming content for Save the World, nothing is known yet for the coming weeks.
