What happens during the server downtime? The servers will be shut down. During this time, you cannot play Fortnite.
When does the server downtime in Fortnite start? The servers will be shut down on October 09, 2025, at 10:00 AM. Shortly before (about half an hour), matchmaking will be disabled (source: x.com).
When can I play Fortnite again? That depends on the size of the update and the duration of the downtime. This is a larger update, so expect 1 – 2 hours.
When will patch notes be released? Epic Games only sporadically posts patch notes for updates and usually only after the downtime. As soon as they are available, you can read them with us.
