Patch Notes for Update 34.30
- Fortnite Ballistic
- 2 new maps (Hammer Fall and Storm Chaser Cove)
- New gadgets (Fire grenade and Turbo
- 2 new weapons (Burst assault rifle and Ruler sniper rifle)
- Improvements and fixes:
- A bug was fixed that allowed grenades to detonate placed proximity mines through walls.
- A bug was fixed that caused grenades to not deal damage to shield bubbles.
- A bug was fixed that caused dropped weapons to persist in future rounds.
- A bug was fixed that caused a delay when opening and purchasing weapons in the store menu.
- A bug was fixed that allowed players to fall through the map at B-position of Skyline 10.
- A bug was fixed that allowed weapons to rotate while sliding.
- A bug was fixed that caused Fortnite to crash sometimes when leaving a Ballistic match.
- A bug was fixed that caused Fortnite to crash sometimes when eliminated in a Ballistic match.
- We now prevent incorrect or redundant notifications from appearing in combat messages.
- Loading times for Ballistic on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch have been reduced.
- Several technical performance improvements have been implemented.

The only patch notes were only for the Ballistic mode. Battle Royale and other modes went empty this time. We wish you a lot of fun in Fortnite and thus end the ticker now.

The downtime is still ongoing, although Epic Games (via status.epicgames.com) scheduled it to be much shorter. We are staying tuned, but so far the developers have not commented on the downtime.

The Andromeda skin that many know under the female Galaxy skin will likely soon be accessible to all players who have enough V-Bucks. The skin was initially only accessible to Samsung owners.

The maintenance has begun, you will now be kicked from the servers. Accordingly, leaker Shiina reports from the meteor from Season OG: 2. This is said to become larger (via x.com).

Good morning! The downtime begins in less than 30 minutes. Epic Games is now slowly disabling its player search so the downtime can start – so get ready.
What happens when the server is down? The servers will be shut down. During this time, you cannot play Fortnite.
Server down in Fortnite – from when? The servers will be shut down on April 8, 2025, at 10 AM. Shortly before (about half an hour) matchmaking will be disabled (via x.com).
When can I play Fortnite again? That depends on the size of the update and the duration of the downtime. Due to the lack of official information from the developers, one can only guess at this point. Since this is a larger patch, expect 2-3 hours of downtime.
When will patch notes be available? Epic Games now sporadically presents patch notes for updates and usually only after downtime. As soon as they are available, you can read them with us.
