Update from December 18, 2024 – 13:10: The maintenance started on time. We will update the news as soon as you can play again.
What happens when the server is down? The servers will be shut down. During this time, you cannot play Fortnite.
Server down in Fortnite – from when? The servers will be shut down on December 18, 2024, at 1 PM. Matchmaking will be disabled 30 minutes before (via x.com).
When can I play Fortnite again? This depends on the duration of the downtime. The developers expect a maintenance phase of one and a half hours (via status.epicgames.com). Starting at 2:30 PM, if everything goes according to plan, the servers could be back online.
When will the patch notes be released? Epic Games now only sporadically presents patch notes for updates and usually only after the downtime. As soon as they are available, you can read them with us.
