What’s happening today in Fortnite? The update 12.41 will be deployed today across all platforms. Fortnite Status announced the patch on Twitter.
Update 11:10 AM: The update 12.41 is now live. There are no patch notes, but changes and leaks that we’ve compiled for you.
The update is supposed to bring new content and make further preparations for the “Travis Scott” concert, which is set to start on Friday, April 24.
Before players can embark on their exploration, the Fortnite servers will be taken offline.
Fortnite Servers Going Down – When and for How Long?
Downtime Starting in the Morning: Downtime will start at 8:00 AM. You can join a new lobby for the last time at 7:30 AM. After that, the servers will be unreachable and Fortnite will be down.
How long will the maintenance take? Based on experiences from the past weeks and months, the work should be completed around noon.

When will the patch notes be released? Probably no patch notes will be released for the Battle Royale mode by Epic Games.

What’s new in the Battle Royale mode? Currently, a live concert by Travis Scott is being prepared in Fortnite. According to Epic Games, new Astronomical Challenges will be coming today, April 21, with update 12.41, where players can unlock rewards such as:
- A banner
- A spray motif
- An emote

What does the update bring for the Save the World mode? What new features the update will bring is unfortunately still unclear. However, a quest line might return and replace the Blockbuster quest line.
After the update, pay attention to “The Agency” on the Fortnite map, as you can influence the story of Season 2 by choosing Team Ghost or Shadow. Your choice could bring changes to the map. Additionally, something might have changed on the crash island north of Sweaty Sands for the concert.
