What’s happening today in Fortnite? The Update 12.10 will be applied today on all platforms. Fortnite Status announced the patch on Twitter.
Update 12:00 PM: Update 12.10 is now here. We’ll show you in the German patch notes what has changed in the game.
This is the first major update of Season 2 in Fortnite. This patch will likely fix some bugs.
Before players can embark on an exploration tour, the servers will be taken down as usual.
Fortnite servers will be taken down – when and for how long?
Downtime Start in the Morning: At 9:30 AM local time, you may join a new lobby for the last time. By 10 AM, the servers will no longer be accessible and Fortnite will be down.
How long will the maintenance work take? Based on the experiences of the last weeks and months, the work should be completed around noon.
However, technical problems or other delays may extend the maintenance work. If this is the case, you will find out here.
When will the patch notes be released? No patch notes for the Battle Royale mode have been released by Epic at the start of Season 2.

What new content does Update 12.10 bring?
What will be new in the Battle Royale mode? Fortnite Status did not provide any clues in the tweet about what the update might bring. However, these bugs will surely be fixed:
- XP coins whose XP rewards are not displayed correctly
- Teammate markers in the Team Rumble mode that are not displayed correctly
- Weak points while farming are not registered when standing too close to the object

What does the update bring for the “Save the World” mode? Players of Save the World can look forward to today’s update. The long-awaited crate feature is expected to be added today.
This will allow players to use the crate from the Battle Royale mode and decorate their heroes with the cosmetics they own.
Epic Games has confirmed on their official site that the new crate will be available with Update 12.10.
