What’s happening today in Fortnite? The Update 15.20 will be deployed today after the Christmas break across all platforms. Fortnite Status announced the patch on Twitter .
Before players can return to the map and explore all the changes, the Fortnite servers will be taken down for a while, as usual.
Fortnite servers will be taken down – when and for how long?
Downtime starts in the morning: The downtime for the new update starts at 10:00 AM German time. So at 9:30 AM, you can join a new round for the last time, after which the servers will be taken down and Fortnite will be offline for a short time.
How long will the maintenance take? Based on the experiences of the past weeks and months, the work should be completed around noon.
Technical problems or other delays could potentially lead to an extension of the maintenance work. If this is the case, you will hear about it here on MeinMMO.
When will the patch notes come? Based on previous updates in the new chapter of Fortnite, there probably won’t be any or only surface-level patch notes published for the battle royale mode.

What new content does Update 15.20 bring?
What new things will there be in the battle royale mode? Fortnite Status mentioned in the announcement for the update that combat should continue to be close and personal. What exactly is meant by this is still unclear. It could be a hint at the arrival of one of the leaked weapons that are supposed to appear in Season 5.

We will soon see what Update 15.20 will bring. Some players are probably waiting for Epic to bring a fix for the superhero skins. There have been some discussions that the outfit in certain colors would simply be pay-to-win and therefore urgently needs a nerf. So far, there has been no reaction from Epic regarding this.
