What is happening today in Fortnite? The update 15.10 will be deployed today on all platforms. Fortnite Status announced the patch on Twitter .
Before players can embark on an exploration of the new changes, as usual, the servers will be shut down and Fortnite will be down for a brief period.
Fortnite servers will be shut down – when and for how long?
Downtime begins in the morning: Downtime for update 15.10 will begin at 10:00 AM CET. At 9:30 AM you can join a new round for the last time, after which the servers will be shut down and Fortnite will be down for a short time.
How long will the maintenance last? Based on experiences from the past weeks and months, the work should be completed around noon.
Fortnite Status has already announced that the patch will be larger for PC players who have high-resolution textures enabled. However, this should not affect the duration of the downtime.

When will the patch notes arrive? Based on the experience with updates in the new chapter of Fortnite, there will probably again be none or only superficial patch notes for the battle royale mode.

What new content will update 15.10 bring?
What will be new in the battle royale mode? One change has already been announced: higher FPS on PC through the Fortnite Performance Mode. This should provide a better gameplay performance option for players with older systems.
Additionally, the Winterfest 2020 could be deployed. Last year it started on December 18th and required an update first. So it could be that this is the case today.
However, we will soon see whether this is already the Christmas update or if players will have to wait a little longer for it. The Winterfest could indeed bring about some changes and new content.
Data miners have also found some weapons in the data that have not previously been in Fortnite. It is still unclear whether they will all appear in Season 5. If that happens, players could see 12 new weapons this season. Maybe we’ll see one of them after the update 15.10.
