Today, on April 19, Epic is releasing a new weapon with update 3.5 for Fortnite and addressing various bugs. Therefore, the Fortnite servers will be taken offline for maintenance on PS4, Xbox One, PC, and iOS. What else can players look forward to when Fortnite comes back online?
To prepare the servers for the new update, version 3.5, they will be taken offline for an indefinite time.
- At 10:00 AM German time, the Fortnite servers will be down.
- The matchmaking for the Battle Royale mode will be disabled half an hour earlier – at 09:30 AM. This message will appear in Fortnite: Player search unavailable
- It is still unknown how long the servers will remain offline.

What does update 3.5 bring to Fortnite on PS4, Xbox One, iOS, and PC?
The exact patch notes are still unknown, but various information has leaked. The Light Machine Gun will be coming to Fortnite: Battle Royale. It will likely play differently from the Minigun and deal more damage to players.

Whether another weapon will be replaced for the LMG is still unknown. It is known that the Remote-Controlled Rocket will be removed from the game for an indefinite time. Epic will fundamentally revise this and bring it back in a modified form.
The later hotfix 3.5.2 will also bring a number of bug fixes. A change from the previous patch that significantly hampered shooting from cover will be reversed. Epic has also worked on weapon-switching speeds.
