Today, on March 29, there will be server maintenance in Fortnite . During this time, the game will be offline. How long is Fortnite down on PS4, Xbox One, and PC? What is in update 3.4.0? We probably won’t see a new mode – but new, explosive toys!
To prepare the servers for the new update, version 3.4.0, they will be taken offline for an indefinite period.
- At 10:00 AM German time, the Fortnite servers will be down.
- The matchmaking for the Battle Royale mode will be disabled half an hour earlier – at 09:30 AM.
- It is still unknown how long the servers will be offline.
- We will update this post for you when the servers go back online.
At around 14:10, the servers came back online. Players are now in a queue.
When will the Fortnite servers be back online? When can we play again?
Epic even specifically mentions this time that the maintenance will take longer than usual. Should players expect a surprise?
Update 12:30 PM: As announced, the maintenance seems to last longer than usual today. The last times, the servers were back online at 12:00 PM our time. Today, there hasn’t been a peep. We do not know when Fortnite will be running again. It may take a while.
What does update 3.4.0 bring to Fortnite on PS4, Xbox One, and PC?

In the patch, similar to the past weeks, a few bug fixes will also make it in. Self-rotating parts are still a problem. The heavy shotgun is also causing a revival of the double pump technique.
In PvE “Save the World,” there will be a new quest line in 3.4 and two new heroes will join Fortnite. Something for Easter is apparently planned.

What is actually happening with the Boogie Bomb?
Epic has removed the dance grenade from the game because it caused an ugly bug that let players pick up infinite weapons. The problems with the Boogie Bomb might be resolved by today’s update, and the grenade could find its way back into the game.
As soon as the servers are back up after maintenance, you can go hunting for remote-controlled rockets and launch your opponents into the air!
