In Fortnite today, on August 25, the servers across all platforms went down (PC, Mac, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Switch, Android). Maintenance is being used to upload Update 26.00 to the servers.

When is Fortnite back online? We can’t say exactly. Typically, the servers are reopened at the latest by 1 PM for a smooth season start. It could be that Epic Games is struggling with issues.
So far, we can only speculate, as the official channels of the developers are also silent. We assume that you can play at the latest from 4 PM.

What is happening today in Fortnite? Today marks the start of Chapter 4 Season 4. A new season with fresh skins, weapons, locations, and much more. As in the past, updates for new seasons are larger than patches in the seasons. So be prepared for a big download and possible queues.

Fortnite: Server Down – When and how long are they offline?
This is the downtime in the morning: According to Epic Games, the servers are expected to be shut down at 9:00 AM local time. Matchmaking will already be disabled 30 minutes before, so you won’t be able to search for new rounds from 8:30 AM.
When can you play again? This is a big update. So it is likely that Epic Games could restart the servers at 11:00 AM or even at 1:00 PM. However, this is not confirmed.
When will the patch notes be released? Epic Games usually publishes a list of patch notes on their site after the update. If this happens, we will list them here neatly and clearly.
