What happens during the server downtime? The servers will be shut down. During this time, you cannot play Fortnite.
When does the server downtime in Fortnite start? The servers will be shut down on December 11, 2025, at 10:00 AM. Shortly before (approximately half an hour, around 09:30 AM), matchmaking will be disabled (source: x.com).
When can I play Fortnite again? That depends on the size of the update and the length of the downtime. This is a major update, so expect approximately one to three hours or more.
When will patch notes be released? Epic Games now sporadically posts patch notes for updates, usually only after the downtime. As soon as they are available, you can read them with us.
