In Fortnite: Battle Royale the 9th season begins in a few days. The first teaser along with the date has now surfaced.
When does Season 9 come out? According to a Twitter post from developer Epic Games, Season 9 is coming this week, on May 9, 2019. Contrary to rumors that Season 8 will be extended, the season will indeed end after 11 weeks.
What does the teaser image show? As usual, the theme of the next season is announced in teaser images. This time, we see a kind of futuristic skin with a demon mask. The caption says: “The future is unknown.”
It’s teaser time again
This could come in Season 9: As in previous seasons, more teasers are likely to appear every day until Thursday, culminating in an overall picture and thus a concrete hint at the new theme of Season 9:
- The text “The future is uncertain” could suggest a futuristic setting. Perhaps the ruins of Tilted and Retail will be transformed into high-tech locations.
- The skin in the teaser looks like a robot or cyber warrior. It somewhat resembles an Exo from Destiny or the demon skin of Genji from Overwatch.
- Some players also see parallels to the beast mode skins that once existed in Fortnite.
The closer we get to May 9, the more information we have about Season 9. What do you think about the upcoming setting?
