The phone number was crucial in Fortnite yesterday: Yesterday, everything in the Fortnite ARG revolved around dialing a specific phone number and entering a code. So far, this has not yielded any further clues. What code was actually required remains unclear. However, one thing has changed when dialing the number: a different sound is produced.
What has happened now? The sound that is generated when dialing the number has been changed. While the sound file did not provide any clues yesterday when analyzed by a spectral graph, now these coordinates can be seen. Initially, this was of no use.
Is something happening soon at the burger joint?
What do the numbers mean? It seems that clever players have now figured out what 067000111 could mean. They are using ASCII and binary encoding to decipher the number. Here is what they found:
- 067 in ASCII means “C”
- 000111 in binary code corresponds to 7
The number could thus mean C7. On the Fortnite map, this would be the grid square where the Durr Burger restaurant is located in Greasy Grove. Something might happen here soon; after all, only the burger head has disappeared so far, but nothing new has appeared yet. Paid actors or Epic employees as “agents?”
Agents have appeared at the burger joint: Moreover, masked agents have appeared at the location where the burger landed in the California desert. These are likely Epic employees or paid actors talking to Fortnite fans who have come there.
The employees stand behind a yellow barrier where fans gather to speak with them. Behind the barrier are:
- The burger head
- a tent
- and a police car
The agents are only present at certain times of the day. They evasively answer most questions. However, players believe they just need to ask the right questions to get to the decisive information to solve the Fortnite puzzle or receive new clues.
UFO books could be the key: Apparently, the agents have set up a table filled with books about UFOs. There’s also a book about burger preparation, a walkie-talkie, and a flashlight. These are likely clues that no one has deciphered yet, or they are red herrings meant to mislead players.
User interviews agent: Many Fortnite players are speaking to the agents and trying out questions – while thousands are online writing what they would ask the agents. A player on site has now learned that the agents are looking for symbols in the books.
