The start of Season 3 in Fortnite is drawing closer, and now the first official teasers from Epic are surfacing. These are meant to show what we can expect at the start of Season 3.
What is happening in Fortnite right now? The live event at the end of Season 2 Chapter 2 took place on Monday, June 15 and clearly changed the map. This event is intended to prepare players for the start of Season 3.
When does Season 3 start? The next Season 3 will start on Wednesday, June 17, 2020. Now the first teasers for it are already appearing.
New official teasers have emerged
What are these teasers? Shortly after the live event of Season 2 ended, Epic posted the first teasers for Season 3. These were once again “image puzzles” that players were supposed to solve.
The first teasers for Season 3 appeared early in the game, as you can find 3 posters at Lazy Lake. There, the flooding was also hinted at.
1st teaser for Season 3
This is what the 1st teaser looked like: This was the first teaser released by Epic on Twitter:
On it, you could see a golden object that initially couldn’t be identified. But as it turned out, a trident is visible throughout the entire image. This was discovered by players.
What could this mean? A trident in Fortnite doesn’t seem so far-fetched now that the Fortnite map has largely been flooded and even sharks are swimming in it.
It would certainly fit the theme of Season 3. However, whether it becomes a new pickaxe for a battle pass skin or a new weapon remains to be seen.
2nd teaser for Season 3
This is what the 2nd teaser looks like: At the reset of the item shop, which takes place at 2:00 AM, the next teaser image from Epic appeared. This is what the hint looked like:
A moon could be seen, but that shouldn’t be the entire picture, as there’s more behind it. Players were able to solve the puzzle and posted the entire image on Twitter:
Here you can see that a kind of “astronaut” is holding the small moon in his arms. In comparison, it seems quite small.
What could this mean? This could be a battle pass skin for Season 3, or perhaps the moon is meant to play a larger role.
If the moon becomes important, it might influence the water level and thus cause changes to the Fortnite map.
3rd teaser for Season 3
This is what the 3rd teaser looks like: At 2:00 PM German time, Epic posted the 3rd teaser for the season. The small snippet shows a boat and strange pipes placed along the ground:
After a short time, players were able to see a larger portion of the image. It shows a wooden building that does not yet exist on the Fortnite map.
What could the teaser mean? Since this building is currently not on the Fortnite map, it points to a new location that will likely be added in Season 3.
More hints will certainly appear that will show us what to expect in Season 3. At least the trident already fits with the 5 things that Fortnite could bring in Season 3.
