Even professional football can Fortnite. In the Sunday match of the 3. Liga between Karlsruher SC and Chemnitz FC, the Badeners celebrated the decisive 2:0 with a goal celebration in Fortnite style – leaving the Sportschau commentator quite confused.
Karlsruher SC is currently fighting for immediate promotion to the 2. Bundesliga. In the Sunday game against Chemnitz FC, they secured a 2:0 victory. The result, however, takes a backseat considering the bizarre goal celebration after the 2:0 (well, at least for us).

The wackiest goal celebration of the year – in Fortnite style!
The goal scorer falls down and is being taken care of by a colleague with a pickaxe. Meanwhile, another colleague stands by and heals himself with a medkit or bandages.
The goal scorer is clearly playing a teammate who has been taken down in duo or team mode and is crawling helplessly on the ground. His rushing teammate is now trying to finish him off with the pickaxe.
This may seem strange, but it is a rather common tactic in Fortnite, especially at the beginning of a round, to save ammunition.
Player explains the goal celebration in an interview
After what the commentator called the “wackiest goal celebration of the year,” the player explains in an interview what actually happened. According to Gordon, some colleagues were playing a shooting game on the Playstation that he joined for a few rounds.
It is clearly about Fortnite – the game has likely made a lasting impression on the goal scorer. Who knows, maybe we will see more such actions in the future?
