From Fortnite, there’s not just the PvP mode “Battle Royale”. In addition, you can also play the game in the PvE coop “Save the World”. In this mode, you can earn V-Bucks for free. So is it worth buying the paid PvE game?
What is Save the World? This name refers to the PvE mode of Fortnite. At the release in 2017, it was even the only mode available. Battle Royale was added later. In Save the World, there is no PvP. Instead, you face hordes of zombies alone or with up to three friends.
You have a limited time on a specific map to gather resources and build fortifications. Then the zombies come, storming your barricades. If you fend them off, you will receive rewards.
PvE on Sale: Save the World still costs €39.99. Epic announced that it would be made free-to-play in 2018, but this has not happened yet. However, until July 30, 2018, you can get the game for half price at €19.99!
Why should you play Save the World?
Is Save the World worth it for PvP fans? One thing should be clear: Save the World is a different game than Battle Royale. Instead of constantly killing each other, you work as a team and fight AI opponents. Additionally, the action is more relaxed. The zombies run foolishly into your traps, so you need to set them up tactically and create true kill corridors.
So you’re not constantly in acute danger because a single zombie won’t take you down immediately. But even if you do not come to terms with this gameplay, there’s a good reason for PvP fans to play Save the World.
The answer is: Free V-Bucks! The premium currency V-Bucks from Save the World also counts for PvP. And unlike the rather marginal amounts from the Battle Pass, there’s really a lot to gain in PvE. So if you’re willing to invest a lot of time in farming, you can make a killing in PvE.
How to get lots of V-Bucks from the PvE mode!
Even at the reduced price, Fortnite: Save the World costs you €19.99. From this, you would already get 2,000 V-Bucks. To make the game worthwhile, you need to earn more than 2,000 Bucks. But don’t worry, it’s easier than you think!
V-Buck Tip #1 – Just Log In!
A very simple method to get free Bucks: Just log in every day! You will receive daily rewards for logging in, including V-Bucks! Starting on day eleven, you’ll already get the first 50 Bucks. Then it increases more and more. If you log in for a total of 336 days, you’ll receive a total of 10,000 V-Bucks!
With this, the game is already more than worth it and you don’t have to play Save the World even once. Just logging in for a second is enough. Make this a part of your morning routine and just log in quickly while brushing your teeth.
V-Buck Tip #2 – Play the Main Story
If you already have Save the World, you can also play it! At least the main story quests are quite fun. They tell a lighthearted story and regularly provide V-Bucks as rewards. It’s best to check beforehand which quests give Bucks and complete those.
The Storm Shield defenses are particularly worthwhile, providing at least 100 Bucks.
V-Buck Tip #3 – Complete Daily Quests
Every day there are new tasks: This way, you can earn at least 50 V-Bucks every day. You can also swap out quests that don’t yield anything for you. If you have the patience to play a bit more Save the World, you can also get a few extra Bucks here. Around 350 Bucks in a week are possible this way.
V-Buck Tip #4 – Use the Collection Book
What is the Collection Book? In Save the World, a lot is about collecting items and other stuff. These can then be immortalized in a kind of sticker album. They may be permanently lost, but you get points and level up in the book.
From level 6, there are 500 Bucks as a reward. At level 26, there are even another 500! And you will find enough items to put in the book if you play Save the World reasonably seriously.
