In Fortnite (PC, PS4, iOS & Xbox One), players were previously able to have a great time with the new shopping carts. Now that’s come to an end. The developers have removed the funny vehicles from the game.
What happened? One of the biggest innovations in Fortnite: Battle Royale recently was the controllable shopping carts. These were vehicles that you could use alone or with a partner. Not only could you move faster across the map, but you could also pull off some seriously funny stunts with the shopping carts, including:
- Blowing up the mysterious bunker in the woods
- Reaching the starting island despite invisible barriers
- Flying through the air thanks to bounce pads
But unfortunately, there were apparently serious issues with the shopping carts. Therefore, they have been temporarily removed from the game.
Why are the shopping carts gone again?
On Twitter, the developer Epic announced that the popular shopping carts have been temporarily removed from the game. There apparently was a bug triggered by them. It was said to be so severe that the carts had to be turned off for the time being to investigate the issue.
When will the shopping carts return? Unfortunately, Epic has not provided further information on that. However, it seems there is no intention to permanently remove the carts. But it may take some time until the issue is found and resolved. Until then, unfortunately, you will have to make do without your wheeled vehicle.
Shopping carts in Fortnite – blessing or curse?
For those who already found the shopping carts annoying on the already small Fortnite map, they can at least experience a few rounds without them now. But how do you feel? Do you already miss the funny shopping carts? Or are you fine with them being gone?
