Fortnite (PS4, Xbox, PC) is about to be released and will be available this July! Although initially in Early Access, it’s something! Epic has released a launch trailer that gives a glimpse into the survival building game through the short film.
Fans have been waiting for the release of Fortnite since 2011 – the studio Epic finally made it happen in 2017. On July 25, the horror survival game will launch into Early Access.
The short film features a fun group reminiscent of Pixar animations. The online coop multiplayer takes place in an apocalypse where monsters have nearly eradicated humanity. Now only a few resourceful heroes remain who are skilled in fighting, building and looting. The mission: reclaim the planet and eliminate the monsters.
The film has a relaxed atmosphere and the humor shown will hopefully carry over into the game.
Fortnite: Launch Trailer in Cinematic Short
In Fortnite, you build protective fortresses similar to Minecraft that stop all monsters at night. You can face zombies and hack at them from your fortress while shooting.
Those who purchase the founder’s pack for 40 euros can dive into the adventure 4 days early and receive a weapon pack on top. Fortnite will initially have a paid early access and will switch to free-to-play at full release.
Will you play Fortnite, kill monsters, and be builders of powerful fortresses?
