With the release of Season 3 Chapter 3 in Fortnite, Epic Games has not only introduced new weapons and locations but also a new item: the Reality Seedlings, which you should definitely utilize in matches. But how do they work and where can I get a Seedling? We at MeinMMO will show you!
What is a Reality Seedling? After the live event in Season 2 Chapter 3, the residents of the island are in a celebratory mood. By saving the Zero Point, a Reality Tree was created, which is now spreading its roots all over the island.
To assist fighters in matches, the Reality Tree has wildly distributed Reality Seed Pods on the new map. These can be planted and supply players with useful loot. But where exactly can you get a Seed Pod and how does the mechanic work? We at MeinMMO will show you.

How to get strong loot in every match
Where can I get a Reality Seedling? To get a Reality Seedling, you first need to obtain a Reality Seed Pod. You can do this in two ways:
- By destroying Reality Tubers on the roots of the Reality Tree
- By picking fruits from the Reality Seedlings
If you have used one of the methods, you need to take the seed and plant it in fertile soil. You cannot use paved paths or roads for planting, as the plant requires soil.
Note that you can only plant one Seedling. If you receive a new seed and plant it, your existing plant will simply change location.
You can always check the status of your plant on the map in an active Battle Royal match and see if weeds can be cleared or fruits can be picked.
How do the Reality Seedlings work? If you now possess a Seed Pod, you can plant it in fertile soil. The first stage of the Seedling will sprout from the ground.
In total, there are six stages that the tree can go through before it wilts and needs to be replanted:
- Common
- Uncommon
- Rare
- Epic
- Legendary
- Mythical
Just like in nature, weeds around your Seedling must be removed for the plant to thrive. Every 15 hours, you need to return to your Seedling and remove the weeds. By removing the parasites, your sprout will reach the next rarity stage.
Be mindful of when and how much you harvest from your sprout, as once harvested, the fruits will only grow back at a later time. However, you can water your plant with Slurp Splashies or the Slurp Cannon per match. This causes the fruits to grow back and gives you double the loot and XP.
If your plant reaches the final Mythical stage, it will wilt after harvesting the last fruit, and you can plant a new seed. Then the gardening work begins anew.
The type of mythical weapons that you can obtain differ based on the environment where you planted your Seedling. Here are all the locations:
- Mountains and Snow – Mythical Marksman Rifle (DMR)
- Grasslands – Mythical Hammer Assault Rifle
- Deserts – Mythical Spike SMG
- Mushroom Forests – Mythical Double-Barreled Shotgun
Important info about the Seedlings: Given the many planting possibilities, you should keep in mind the following:
- You and other enemies can harvest and destroy your plant.
- Destroyed plants regrow to their known level after each match.
- Remove the weeds so your tree can continue to thrive.
- Your tree dies when it reaches the last phase and leaves you a seed.
