Today, Saturday, there is expected to be a server downtime to fix the problem. At least Epic hopes to try. The last server maintenance lasted 14 hours due to issues with the database.
The exact time the servers will be down is still unknown at Epic. It could happen sometime tonight our time or even in the evening.
Update 20:30: The latest developments indicate that it is not so certain whether a downtime is really necessary today.
Why does Fortnite have so many problems?
