The pro JonnyK bought a cheat for the World Cup in Fortnite. However, he did not know that the seller had plans to deceive him during the sale.
How was the pro betrayed? The seller of the cheats was in direct contact with the YouTuber “The Fortnite Guy” and forwarded chat logs, invoices, and conversations with the pro directly.
The YouTuber then released a video with this sensitive information, publicly exposing the pro. JonnyK was subsequently kicked from his team and also deleted his Twitter account.
This is how the pro was caught while buying a cheat
Watch the video here: The video shows every piece of evidence that incriminates the pro. There is a chat log on Discord, a conversation between the seller and JonnyK, and a Paypal invoice that is supposed to prove the sale.
What kind of cheats were sold? The pro bought an ESP cheat for $60. This helps the player to see through walls and to spot an opponent behind a corner or cover.
This is what the pro wanted with the cheats: Looking at the chat history with the cheat seller, JonnyK made it quite clear that he wanted the cheat for the qualification of the Fortnite World Cup. In the qualification and the subsequent World Cup, there is a total of $40 million at stake – about €35 million.
However, the pro was also worried that he would be discovered with the purchase and wrote that his life would be ruined if it became public.
The seller assured discretion, but in the end worked with a YouTuber and likely aimed exactly at the publication of the identity.
This is what the team of the pro says: JonnyK was part of Team Kaliber. This group reacted to the YouTube video and kicked JonnyK from their team. They then apologized to their supporters for JonnyK’s behavior.
What does the pro himself say? JonnyK did not comment on this incident. However, he deleted his Twitter account. This message seems quite clear.
