What is this new weapon? The new grenade launcher is a weapon that throws shockwave grenades instead of explosive grenades.
It is one of the 6 new mythic weapons of Season 3 and is therefore found only once in a match. You obtain it by eliminating the mini-boss Kit, who is located at Catty Corner.
What are shockwave grenades? These grenades create a shockwave that either propels you or your opponents away. Players can use them either to shorten their path or to push opponents out of high buildings.
Pro finds perfect use for the grenade launcher
How does the pro use the new weapon? Fortnite pro SypherPK, who was accused by players for the return of skill-based matchmaking, has now found the perfect use for this shock grenade launcher while he was in an unfavorable position in one of the loot vaults.
There were other players who wanted to take advantage of the nice loot in the vault: They tried desperately to push the pro. However, SypherPK kept building walls in front of them until he turned around, shot the shock grenade launcher at the wall, and was propelled out by the shockwave.
This method allows him to break through the built wall and suddenly find himself behind the opponent, who is still trying to get into the vault during that time.
It happens so quickly that the opponent doesn’t even realize that the enemy is suddenly behind them. With this clever method, SypherPK manages to take out several players, and it looks really stylish.
The exact opposite happened to players who encountered enemies in the vault. They were surprised by opponents in the unopened vault because they found a glitch that allowed them to sneak into the vault without opening the vault door.
