Currently, a pretty crazy ARG is happening in Fortnite. It’s about a phone number and what digits one might type in to find out what is happening with Season 5 in Fortnite. We present the most important clues on Mein MMO.
What is an ARG? An “Alternate Reality Game” refers to games that use various media to blur the lines between real and fictional experiences. Such an “ARG” is currently taking place in Fortnite. There, a “burger sign” from the game world has vanished and appeared in a desert, but that was just the beginning.
Mysterious phone number. Players have traveled to the burger in the California desert and met a man described as a “secret agent.” He gave the players a card:
- On one side the name Agent #3678
- On the other side a phone number: (712) 380-4091
What happens when you call the number? A mysterious static sound, like a rift sound in Fortnite, is heard.

What is known? The topic is being heavily discussed on reddit. Amateur puzzle solvers believe Epic Games has hidden a riddle that may provide insight into the Season 5 in Fortnite.
- Approaching the rift sounds with a spectrograph seems useless. No clear pattern can be seen.
- The area code “712” could refer to July 12th. That’s when Season 5 of Fortnite starts.
- The agent’s number “3678” means “Fort” when you map the numbers to a keypad – but it is useless to just type “nite”; that would be too easy.
- If you call the number and press the asterisk (*) key, you can then enter a 4-digit code. Currently, it’s still unknown what exact code is required. Users have tried quite a lot.
- Another user says that if you press the “8” key instead of the star, you will be asked for the first letter of the agent’s name.
