In Fortnite, a player has cracked the secret bunker by crashing into it with a shopping cart. However, the result is sobering: behind the hatch lies an abyss.
What kind of bunker is this? A few patches ago, a mysterious “hatch” appeared in Fortnite: Battle Royale. The hatch is located in Wailing Woods. It reminds players of the TV series “Lost.” This hatch is likely connected to the secret story of Fortnite, the battle of the supervillain “Omege” against the superheroes of Fortnite. It is suspected that there is a secret bunker hidden there.
Hatch cannot be opened: Until now, no one knew what was behind this hatch. Attempts to look down there with the replay tool did not work either. Epic had taken precautions. No one has managed to open this hatch in the “Wailing Woods” until a few hours ago.
Shopping cart as a battering ram in Fortnite
Player rams bunker with shopping cart: On reddit, a player published his deed. He rammed the hatch with the new shopping cart, destroying and opening it. (Here is a link to the video of the action, in case you can’t see the embedded post).
Accidentally I have broken the bunker of Wailing Woods with a shopping cart from r/FortNiteBR
What was there to see? Nothing. Only a shaft appears. One cannot descend into the bunker but remains stuck on the surface. Unfortunately, there is not much to see.
How do the fans react? Fortnite players are impressed by the stunt. They appreciate that someone came up with the creative idea to use the shopping cart this way. However, fans are somewhat disappointed that there was so little to see. They thought they would discover a huge villain fortress there. Players are now even more curious about what Epic has in store for the hatch.
The hatch could be the next major map expansion for Fortnite
What could be waiting under the hatch? Fans suspect that something big will happen under the hatch in one of the next patches, perhaps an underground tunnel system or a map expansion that makes Fortnite more interesting under the Wailing Woods. For now, the hatch remains a simple placeholder. The shopping cart crash has revealed that.
