In Fortnite: Battle Royale Update 15.00 has been released, marking the start of Season 5 Chapter 2. We show you the patch notes. It includes new features, many bounty hunters, and new locations!
What’s included in the new update 15.00: This update kicked off the new Season 5 and allows players to dive into a world of bounty hunters. As can already be seen in the trailer, there is a lot of chaos on the Fortnite map after Galactus attempted to absorb the “Zero Point”.
But what does this mean for gameplay and Fortnite players? We will show you what has changed in the game.
Now you are to hunt
What’s new now? Since the Zero Point has now been released again, various characters can escape from the Fortnite island. However, if you join Agent Jonesy, you can prevent the escape.
You can now team up with other bounty hunters from other universes, who were also featured in the Battle Pass trailer for Season 5. So choose the best ones. This way, you can participate in a battle that will create chaos and determine the future of the island.
New locations on the map – Map changes
What’s new now? The map has also changed after the battle with Galactus and adapts to the bounty hunting theme. Among other things, you can now find several places that have different functions, such as:
- The Colosseum, where you can engage in fights
- A jungle
- The Crystal Desert, where the Zero Point is also located
Players will immediately have a lot to explore on the map. Perhaps a new favorite landing spot will also quickly emerge.
Helping hand – Bounty hunting
What’s new now? You will now become hunters and have the obligation to help other characters. You will need to complete various missions and tasks in the unstable reality that revolve around bounty hunting. You can also recruit them for your team to better your chances.
If you do not wish to help, you can also challenge the characters to a fight. If you prove yourself, you will unlock various rewards.
New currency: Bars
What’s new now? Bounty hunting not only serves to help but can also earn you a reward. The characters accept a new currency: Bars. You can earn this by successfully completing bounty hunts, eliminating opponents, or finding hidden supplies on the island.
The bars can be used for these items:
- Exotic weapons
- Upgrades
- Services
- Information
New weapons in Season 5
What’s new now? Not only new features and currencies have come with update 15.00. There are now also new weapons in the game. These give you a completely different gameplay experience. These weapons are new:
- Dragon’s Breath Shotgun
- Amban Sniper Rifle
- Night Hawk
Throughout the season, characters from the unstable world will bring even more weapons into the game that have not been seen before.
Season 5 seems to bring some changes to Fortnite, with which players can actively collaborate with characters. The map also seems to have changed a lot, which is not surprising after the big battle against the even bigger Galactus.
