What is happening today in Fortnite? It’s patch time again! Today the servers will go down for maintenance and the new patch 19.40.

Important times for the server downtimes today in Fortnite – When and how long will it be offline?
This is the downtime in the morning: The servers are expected to be shut down at 10:00 AM our time to install update 19.40. The matchmaking will be disabled 30 minutes prior, so from 09:30 AM you will not be able to search for new rounds.
When can you play again? The servers are usually offline for several hours during such maintenance, and playing will not be possible during this time. The downtime is expected to last between 30 minutes and 2 hours. This is shown by the updates from the past weeks.
Of course, there can also be technical issues, bugs, and delays during such maintenance work. If any bothersome complications arise, we will report them to you immediately here.
When will the patch notes come? Epic Games has long published little to no patch notes anymore. However, community members often quickly search for and find the changes. If there are still important changes, we will also update this article for you.
What new content does update 19.40 bring?
What’s new for the Battle Royale mode? There are no specific statements from Epic Games regarding the contents of patch 19.40 yet. However, leaks and data miners have proven to be safe sources in the past. The changes are official:
“Spider-Man’s Web Shooter” and Wild Week
Between March 1, 2022, at 3:00 PM CET and March 8, 2022, at 2:59 PM CET, you can also find the weapon “Spider-Man’s Web Shooter” on the island in chests and in the usual places.
Additionally, this Wild Week will also see the return of previously known bounce pads from the vault. You will find them on the ground and in supply drops!
After the “Archery” event, there will be another Wild Week with additional quests and challenges.
Proximity Voice Chat for the Impostor Mode
In update 19.40, voice chat in the Impostor mode will be expanded again. Proximity voice chat will now be used. This means that you can only hear players near your character. This increases the tension and tactical possibilities in this fun mode.
