Important times for Fortnite server downtime – when and for how long?
Downtime in the morning: The servers will be shut down at 10:00 AM our time to roll out update 19.30. Matchmaking will be disabled 30 minutes prior, so you won’t be able to search for matches from 09:30 AM.
When can you play again? The servers will be offline for quite a while, and playing will not be possible. The downtime is expected to last between 30 minutes and 2 hours. This has been shown by the updates of recent weeks.
Of course, technical issues and delays can always occur during such work. If any complications arise, we will report them to you.
When will the patch notes be released? Usually, Epic Games provides little to no information about the update changes in the Battle Royale mode. These are often discovered by the community itself.
However, if important changes come, we will also update this article for you.
What new content does update 19.30 bring?
What’s new for the Battle Royale mode? There are no concrete statements from the developers yet, but leaks and dataminers have often proven to be a reliable source in the past. With these changes, you might be able to expect:
Gyroscope Control and Flick Stick
Fortnite already had gyroscope control on the Nintendo Switch and Android devices. Now, other platforms like PlayStation and PC are following suit and also have this feature.

With this control, you gain more precision with controller movements. You can tilt your controller in the direction you want to aim. The Flick Stick supports this, as your crosshair will look in the direction you are looking with your right stick.
Instantly in the Menu
If you’ve downloaded the update, you should have noticed that you no longer have to select a menu. You will be thrown directly into the BR lobby and can switch to any mode from there. This allows you to get into the game even faster and start a match immediately.
New Skins
Epic has also thought of new skins and is providing you with two new cartoon skins, various weapon camouflages, and more.
Uncharted Collaboration – Treasure Maps
According to leaks, Fortnite is collaborating with the Uncharted game series. You can expect not only new skins but also a map that will probably allow you to find treasures.
