In Fortnite, the servers will be down today, January 18th, on all platforms (PC/Mac, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Switch, Android). The downtime will be used to deploy the new update 19.10. We will summarize all changes here from MeinMMO.
What is happening today in Fortnite? Epic is once again taking down the servers and is bringing fresh energy with a new patch. Many new content items are expected, including new gameplay mechanics and new weapons and skins.

Important times for Fortnite server downtimes – when and how long?
Downtime in the morning: The servers will be taken down at 10:00 AM our time to roll out update 19.10. Matchmaking will be disabled 30 minutes prior, so you won’t be able to search for games after 9:30 AM.
When can you play again? The servers will be offline for quite some time, and playing will not be possible. The downtime is expected to be between 30 minutes and 2 hours. This has been shown by the updates in previous weeks.
Of course, there can always be technical problems and delays during such work. If there are complications, we will keep you informed.
When will the patch notes be released? Normally, Epic Games provides little to no information about the update changes in the battle royale mode. These are often found by the community itself.
However, if significant changes occur, we will also update this article for you.
What new content does update 19.10 bring?
What’s new for the battle royale mode? There are currently no concrete statements from the developers, but leakers and data miners have often proven to be reliable sources in the past. With these changes, you might expect:
New skins, including Vi from Arcane
Leakers have already dug through Fortnite’s data and discovered new skins. This includes a new skin pack with 1,500 V-Bucks as well as some reskins. Among them is a new skin from Arcane in Fortnite (the LoL series on Netflix). It is Vi, the sister of Jinx.
New consumables
Epic has introduced three new items for consumption in the data. These include the Klomberry. A fruit that spawns randomly on the map and gives you shield after consumption. Additionally, there are pizza slices and a party pizza that are also listed as consumable items.
Tilted Towers is live
In Fortnite, Tilted Towers has been frozen in ice since the beginning of Chapter 3. Now that you have downloaded the update, the ice has melted, and Tilted is uncovered. So, take your friends for a game of “Fortnite,” pack your weapons, and look forward to a bloodbath in Chapter 1 style.
Rare Klombos are on the map
Epic has created a new species of dinosaurs in Fortnite. The huge Klombos, that’s what they are called, are peaceful creatures that are in search of food. However, if you provoke them, they can react aggressively towards you, so be cautious and respectful.
Other minor changes:
- The grenade launcher has been taken out of the vault
- Since version 19.11, your crown victories above 99 are displayed correctly
- General weapon adjustments for Stinger SMG, MK-7 rifle, Automatic shotgun
