What’s happening today in Fortnite? Chapter 6 Season 1 has ended, and to keep the fun going, Epic Games has prepared a new season. Season 2: Lawless lets you roam the map as a criminal and rob banks. In addition to a new Battle Pass, there will be downtime again, which we will accompany for you in a live ticker.

New POIs for criminals
In the patch notes, Fortnite introduced new locations that are set to arrive on the map with Season 2. These include:
- Crime City
- Outlaw Oasis
- Shiny Shafts
- Lonewolf Lair
A new currency: The Pickle Coins
In Fortnite, there is now a new currency in addition to gold: the Pickle Coins. You can find Pickle Coins in various safes and use them to purchase items from the new black markets. They are even more valuable than gold bars and cannot be taken into your next match. So, use them in the round where you collected them.
New vehicle: Armored Transporter
With the armored transporter, Fortnite introduces a new vehicle into the game. The baron of the island transports various goods from point A to point B in this. You have the chance to break into such a vehicle and loot it. If you’re in a good mood, you might even be able to hijack one and drive off, but beware, the baron’s henchmen and other players will not give up without a fight.
New buffs: The blessings
With Chapter 6 Season 2, new buffs are coming to the game, the blessings. The blessings can be found in rare chests and purchased at black markets. The effects are permanent effects that last for the entire round – even if you get eliminated. The following effects are available:
- Vulture Blessing: The location where opponents are eliminated is briefly shown on the map.
- Gold Rush Blessing: Opening or destroying chests grants you a gold rush.
- Adrenaline Rush Blessing: Gain the effect of “boost” items (constant energy regeneration for a certain time) when climbing, jumping, and wall jumps.
- Gold Ammo Blessing: You receive ammunition when you collect bars.
- Greed Blessing: You receive additional bars from eliminations and opening containers.
New weapons and items
With each new season, new weapons and items must not be missing. Epic Games has come up with many new options for a life of crime and added them to the loot pool. You can expect the following weapons:
- Plasma Burst Laser
- Rocket Drill
- Sub-Zero’s Combat Kit
- Collateral Damage Assault Rifle (Assault Rifle)
- Hawkeye Sniper Rifle (Sniper)
- Outlaw Shotgun (Shotgun)
- Knuckle-Killer (Melee Weapon)
In addition to that, there are also useful items that you can use on your heists:
- Thermite
- Impulse Scanner
- Portable Cover
- Med Mist Grenade
- Gold Pack
