Fortnite has received a new patch with the launch of Season 6. Update 6.0 brings a ton of new items and surprises. We have the patch notes in German for you. You can see what changes in the Fortnite changelog.
With Update 6.0, Season 6 starts in Fortnite. There is also a fun trailer. It brings the following highlights for Fortnite Battle Royale and Save the World.
These are the patch notes for Battle Royale in patch 6.0
- Shadow Stones: Shadow stones are now scattered across the map in Fortnite. You can pick them up and run around as a ghost for a short time. In this form, you are invisible and cannot attack. However, you can push forward as a shadow with your attack button and even pass through obstacles. Additionally, you are faster as a ghost and leave footprints.
- New Locations: With Season 6, the world changes radically. There are now the following new locations:
- The Floating Island in Loot Lake
- Cursed areas on the map
- New cornfields
- The Haunted Castle
- New Input Device Rules: You can now switch from the mouse & keyboard to a controller during matches, but not vice versa. Additionally, the rules that match players with mouse and keyboard to other players with mouse and keyboard are now active, even if some play on PS4 and Xbox One and others on PC.
- Pets are coming: Companions are pets that are meant to provide players with backup.
- New Battle Pass: What’s in the Season 6 Battle Pass of Fortnite is revealed here.
Battle Royale gets even faster
- New Storm Rules: The waiting times and speed of the storm circles have been changed. Waiting times have generally been reduced, while shrink times have been extended.
- The Grappler now transfers momentum to objects you hit. Additionally, it now has only 10 charges instead of 15.
- The double-barreled shotgun deals less damage now
- Weapons are out: Impulse grenade, suppressed submachine gun, light machine gun, thrower and remote detonators have been removed from the game. They are still available in the playground for now.
- Gameplay Adjustment: There have been the already known sound adjustments
What changes in Save the World in patch 6.0
Looks like Save the World will be “free” soon: In the PvE part, it seems that the patch is slowly preparing players for Save the World becoming free.
It is supposed to happen sometime in 2018, but it is not yet known exactly when. It might be that patch 6.0 is still paid – and then with 7.0 at some point in December will actually switch to “Free2Play”.
The PvE mode “Save the World” is also getting something new:
- The new event “Last-Minute” is supposed to prepare players for the “exciting things” that are about to happen. This can only mean that “Save the World” will actually be free soon.
- The event shop will feature MEGA BASE Kyle during the duration of “Last-Minute”.
- The weekly shop will also bring back some items from the past during the “Last-Minute” event. The hydraulic “Pulverizer” hammer is back in the first week.
- You will receive rewards for activating two-factor authentication.
- A new enemy is coming: With the Ruckus Shell comes a new PvE opponent who carries a refrigerator door and is therefore hard to hit. You will likely have to bypass this enemy.
- Level up and develop your favorite items during the mini-event “Last-Minute”. Mini-boss mission alerts are active, and up to 10 of them can be completed per day.
- The Rattattaa submachine gun has been added to the weekly shop. It will be available until October 4, 2018.
- When enemies attack player structures up close, a red outline of the enemy will be visible through the wall so you can spot them more easily.
Additionally, a bunch of minor bug fixes and adjustments were made.
