Today, Update 4.1 for Fortnite is being released on PS4, Xbox One, PC, and iOS. We are looking at the Fortnite patch notes, which primarily focus on the new mode “Infinity Gauntlet” and the abilities of Thanos.
The highlights of today’s patch are clearly the new mode “Infinity Gauntlet” for Fortnite: Battle Royale. In the PvE mode “Save the World,” a new weapon, the light machine gun HackSAW, awaits to shred husks.
Highlights of the Patch Notes for Fortnite Battle Royale
Infinity Gauntlet: This is the new limited-time solo mode in Fortnite. A meteor crashes onto the island, bringing the Infinity Gauntlet. Whoever finds it transforms into Thanos. If Thanos is defeated, the Gauntlet falls to the ground and can be picked up again.
Thanos himself can utilize powerful abilities and can take more damage than a normal mortal.
Thanos can:
- deal a powerful strike,
- slam to the ground and deal area damage (AOE),
- fire a shot that deals damage over time,
- and leap with a super jump to overcome nearly all obstacles
- regenerate his shield when he eliminates opponents. However, his health points do not recover
However, Thanos cannot build or use weapons – he jumps around as a colossus and crushes everything. He does not take fall damage.
Matches in “Infinity Gauntlet” last about 15 minutes. No green or white weapons appear in “Infinity Gauntlet,” only rare, epic, or legendary. There are increased chances for loot in this mode. You collect double the resources with your pickaxe. You will find significantly more launch pads and shield potions.
The storm eye already shrinks when the match starts and causes more damage than usual.
Also in the patch notes:
The last storm eye now appears more often in the edge areas of the map
You can now join groups of players who are already in a match
Players can no longer hide sticky grenades and remote explosives with spray patterns

HackSAW is a new weekly item – it is a light machine gun with a moderate rate of fire, low recoil, long reload time, and it is very efficient in terms of ammo consumption.
Storm chests and “Rescue the Drone” missions do not grant item supplies – that was a bug
There are still some bug fixes and balance changes included, but nothing really wild.
Pretty short patch notes this time. You can find the full patch notes here.
This is what Epic says about “Will there be Marvel skins in the shop?”
