In Fortnite, the feared helicopters were introduced with update 12.20. But are they really as strong as previously thought? We show you what the helicopters can do.
What kind of helicopters are they? A leak had already hinted at helicopters in Fortnite. However, they seemed to be very powerful and players were already afraid of them.
Now they have been added to the game with the update 12.20. But are they really as dangerous as players thought?
What can the new helicopters do?
The helicopters were feared because they were supposed to cause high damage and it was thought that they would have a built-in machine gun.
However, looking at the helicopter more closely, it suddenly doesn’t seem that strong anymore.
This is the helicopter now: Up to 5 players can fly in a helicopter. One controls it and the other 4 can sit and shoot with their weapons from above.
There is no additional machine gun that can be used. This makes the helicopter much weaker. Additionally, it has 1,500 hit points before it is completely destroyed.
We will see how the helicopter evolves and whether it might still be able to cause significant damage through a crash or when it explodes.
What advantage does the helicopter have? Even if the helicopter doesn’t seem that strong, it has one great advantage: mobility. Players will now have a new way to move faster.
The helicopter has a boost that will get you across the new map of Season 2 faster when activated. Also, you can jump from the helicopter and continue flying.
