In Fortnite: The new infantry rifle is not particularly popular. But none other than star player Ninja loves the unpopular rifle and explains why it rocks.
What is the infantry rifle? The new infantry rifle was introduced with update 7.4, and even before release, players were wondering what the rifle was good for. It at least pleased fans of Call of Duty, as it was modeled after the legendary M1 rifle from World War II.
Why does hardly anyone like the infantry rifle? For many players, the infantry rifle is not a useful weapon. It doesn’t deal much damage for some fans. Others criticize that it’s not good for sniping since it lacks a scope. And some others criticize the relatively small magazine of only 8 rounds.
Ninja loves the unpopular rifle
That’s why Ninja defends the infantry rifle: In a stream with friends, they complained about the infantry rifle. But Ninja had a different opinion and could hardly believe how poorly his mates thought of the rifle.
“The infantry rifle is not even close to being bad, what are you talking about? Seriously? It’s not bad in any way! You can shoot so quickly with it. Look, I even say it’s the better AK! You can shoot faster and you’re much more accurate.”
The heavy assault rifle, also known as the AK, is a weapon that allows many Fortnite players to quickly take out opponents at a distance. According to Ninja, the infantry rifle, which deals 40 damage per hit, is much better suited for this job than the heavy assault rifle.
“If you have an elevated position with this thing and know how to shoot it, you’ll just destroy everything!”
The infantry rifle doesn’t lose damage over distance. So it’s a good option for skilled shooters in medium to long-range combat.
Since Ninja’s mates didn’t seem convinced, the infantry rifle will likely remain low on the rankings of most Fortnite players.
